Beware of “Pluto D Nicosia” Credit Card Scam

Check your credit cards for mysterious charges from “Pluto D Nicosia” or “Pluto Data”. A search on Google shows many people have been affected. It seems you are charged for a phantom DVD or CD purchase you never purchased and usually there are two charges, one small and one large. The toll free number shown on your credit credit bill does not work. So if you have been affected, first dispute the charge (you are not liable) with your credit card company. Second, contact the fraud department of one of the three credit bureaus and tell them you have illegal activity on your account. Third, contact the federal authorities, because the FBI is currently investigating this case. Hat tip: Robert Accettura
